Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read, post and comment.
We all wanted to accomplish one thing, keep all the Cotati-Rohnert Park schools open. Even though that didn't happen, please continue to post info, comments, suggestions and anything else that you feel is important to this issue. We can still have a positive impact on our community by trying to make our school district better.

Upcoming Dates of School Board Meetings and Boundary Information
Feb. 19 - Public hearing on boundaries
Feb. 26 - Second reading / approval of new boundaries
Week of Mar. 3 - Students assigned to new schools based on attendance boundaries
This year, Intra-district attendance request forms will be available beginning March 10, 2008 and must be returned no later than April 1, 2008. Please note that the deadline is earlier this year than in previous years. The intra-district forms should be returned to the school of residence (based on the new boundaries).
All board meetings are at 7pm at Creekside Middle School in the presentation hall.

Dear Gold Ridge Parents,
Thank you so much for coming to the meeting last Tuesday and sharing your ideas on how we can keep our school open. The great turn-out is just another example of what makes Gold Ridge a stand-out school: our sense of community, commitment, and can-do attitude!
Remember, the School Board meets on December 4th to hear public input on the recommendation made by Barbara Vrankovich, so much of our work needs to be done before that. Please get together with your committee as soon as possible, either in person or via email, and start putting some of our great ideas into action. Get your friends to sign up for committees too. They can contact me and I will add them to the official list. If your committee doesn’t have a leader, please consider taking on that roll. All it takes is a little bit of organization and communication with other committee members. If you need a copy of the list of contact info for the committees let me know. Thanks.

Another group we may want to send letters to is the Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce. Their website boasts of Rohnert Parks planned communities with our schools as the center or heart of each neighborhood.
